The founder of Royal Oak Michigan Dog Training’s Orion. He grew up with many different dogs as a child and quickly developed a love for all dogs. His father side of the family always had bird dogs and his uncle was a bird dog trainer. He began training dogs in high school because he hated seeing dogs left in the backyard because their owners couldn’t control them. Ryan felt sorry for docs tied upper left outside so he would walk dogs for hours at a time trying to teach them how to walk appropriately on a leash.
Before Royal Oak Michigan Dog Training, Ryan would also treat train family dogs and try to constantly teach dogs to do different tracks. While he was not very good at this, he spent a lot of time with dogs. He spent hours and hours watching the dog whisperer. During this time, he called it his “research”. After college, Brian immediately started looking for a professional dog trainer job. After interviewing a few different trainers, he decided to train with a group he founded in Tulsa. After training his dog with them, he quickly offered to work for them and then when that didn’t work, he offered to intern for free. He interned on and off for free for six months and learned how to train the dogs correctly, and eventually got hired.
Still before Royal Oak Michigan Dog Training, this period of training dogs part-time is where Brian really fell in love with dog training as a profession. He could see the quick change in the quality of people’s lives and the quality of theirs dogs lives when their dog actually listen. Behavioral problems are the number one reason people get rid of their dog and Ryan love being able to help clients overcome those problems and enjoy their furry companions.
After two years with these dog trainers, Ryan decided to quit his dust job and go full-time and to the doctoring profession. This is when his dog training went to another level. Ryan got in contact with the trainers trainer, Tim Smith. Tim runs ECS dogs in California and is one of the most sought after dog trainers in the United States. Tim has helped take 2 cups training and customer satisfaction to another level. While Ryan trained his first dogs with more traditional methods of positive and negative reinforcement, Tim teaches an attention silo training and held him really get more control and better results with his personal dog as well as clients dogs.

We train dogs because we love them! Our goal: dogs that listen each and every time they are told to do something.
Through our unique method of training, we strive to teach your dog to listen every single time you speak. We want 100% obedience. Now make your dog a robot or anything, but teach them that they have to respect you and do what you say. Let’s just say that all types of dog training can work. Dogs are smart. People have been train dogs for a long time, and that’s a long time to do different things. But just like everything else in the world, there are good and bad methods, fast and slow methods, efficient and not efficient methods. We have the experience and knowledge to not only say we can do the things, we can show you.
