We sent our dog Brutus to Tip Top K9 Gilbert to participate in the More Manners boot camp. Brutus is a high energy 15 month old English Springer Spaniel, and he had previously spent 5 weeks at another trainer about 6 months ago which was expensive and ineffective. Brutus is a bit of a bully with his older (but smaller) brother and sister and he was exhibiting some bad behaviors, and only listened to us when he felt like it - which was rare, we could not control him. We had a few incidents where he was guarding treats with our other dogs and snapping at them but then when I would pull him away he would nip me. He was the classic large, energetic dog with no boundaries in his mind. We were at the point where we either had to try training again or rehome him to a place he could be an only dog but regardless needed more training. I read a lot of reviews online because obviously I was led astray the first time thinking going local to one trainer who would train in his home would be the most ideal situation. Tip Top has a professional, indoor facility, multiple trainers and had hundreds of great reviews so we took a chance and Trevon came out and worked with Brutus to show us how they work and discuss options. The one thing he said that really helped me understand dog training is that he said he can’t teach him how he feels, but he can teach him how to respond. I felt like that was a really fair and real response and thinking that you can change how your dog feels is an impossible hope. We decided on the More Manners program, I was happy to see that we would pay one price and he would come home when he was ready, regardless of how much time it would take. This is the opposite of the first trainer who in hindsight I felt milked us for extra weeks but didn’t really deliver. I figured Tip Top was probably going to have him for a long time to get him to come around, but I was wrong. They said average days in the More Manners boot camp is 19 days, Brutus came home on day 18. When Tony picked Brutus up, the most amazing thing is on his way here for the pickup, he found a small dog running in the street. He brought the dog with him and called the owner and made sure she was safe - a true dog lover. We went over all the details and got Brutus out the door. We received his report cards on Fridays along with pictures where he always looked happy, and we felt better when we saw the reports. I was amazed when we were told he was ready and Tony brought him back home. He spent almost 2 hours teaching us every single command, walking us through executing the commands and giving us lots of great tips tailored to our situation. Brutus definitely wants to perform the commands and it is clear they were drilled into him in typical boot camp fashion. I could see Brutus likes and respects Tony which tells me that the training was not traumatic for him, and he responded well to everything we threw at him. I mentioned I wanted to know how to keep him from charging through doors and we did that right there on the spot and Brutus picked it up right away. Tony was more than willing to talk through or show us how to handle any scenarios we were unsure about. Before he left he invited us to the group training sessions - Tip Top guarantees the training and you can do the sessions anytime you want as long as you own the dog for no additional fee - I like this because we now have ongoing access to any support we might need in the future. Since his return, Brutus is definitely more aware of our expectations and paying attention to us to for his next command. Tony is a superstar trainer who has such a gentle and nice way with the animals, you just know he truly loves them and wants to make them better. I will definitely recommend Tip Top and am grateful to have found them.

We had a fiesty chihuahua. Our choices with a baby arriving were to either get rid of the dog or try and train her. We went with training. They were OK with taking a dog with aggressive behavior, resource guarding, and being a bully to other dogs. In their 2 week program, they turned our dog around. We've only had her a day. She's still the cute, loveable dog we had before but without the behavior issues. We feel pretty confident that when our baby arrives that she will be safe.

Amazing!! Totally worth it! We had an extreme humper 1.5 year old Pitbull after one class he was not humping anymore. I couldn’t recommend them enough!

We had them help us train our 2 dogs which were aggressive towards each other, jumping on couches, barking incessantly at Amazon trucks, etc. We had hired other trainers in the past as well as read books and tried several methods (treats, clicks, shock collars, etc). The e-collar method works really well. We have gotten them to do all the regular commands and it’s like having new dogs. Although we still need to work with them on their interactions with each other, they are off the couches unless invited, they quiet when told to, and we can take them on walks together in heel. It’s amazing and Thaden is a wonderful trainer. Can’t recommend this enough!!!!

Thaeden was an amazing training. It is genuinely a night and day difference with my dog Harlie. She was very reactive before, it was hard to take her to coffee shops and even just walking on the sidewalk I was so scared she was going to lunge at other dogs or even people. She can now sit in a place and ignore most of what’s going on around her. We went to a coffee shop last weekend that was filled with dogs and she laid on her place for almost 2 hours before we left. I couldn’t be happier!!

We started off with a consultation where a trainer met us, assessed our pup to see how she was behaving, then advised us on their best recommendation for a training program. There was no pressure whatsoever to sign up or purchase, which we appreciated.We chose the week-long bootcamp program as we wanted quick results. The program we chose was not cheap by any means, but you truly get what you pay for with a dog training service. They picked up and dropped off our pup at our house, which was extremely convenient and walked us through any questions or concerns we had.Our pup had really quick results and was ready to come home in just 7 days! They gave us updates and shared a video with us midway through her program. When she was dropped off, her trainer, Tony, came into our home and spent an hour walking us through all of our pups new commands and how to use the training collar. Tony was wonderful! Very kind and extremely respectful. With very few attempts, my pup was listening to my new commands. I would absolutely recommend this training service!

We recently rescued a one-year-old German Shepherd who had been experiencing behavioral issues with her previous owner, and we knew she needed training as soon as possible. Thaeden is a fantastic dog trainer. He is easy to work with and very punctual.

We did a 1 month board and train with our 6 month old Malinois/Pitbull mix for obedience and manners, and the change is incredible. He is still the same sweet energetic boy, but now he has perfect manners! Which makes having such a high energy breed much more manageable, and all of us are happy. Alex was an amazing trainer when he came to train us at his drop off to show us all of his new skills he learned while he was away. He took great care and time to teach us everything and to make sure we had a handle on the new skills before he left.This training is worth every penny. We did 1 week board and train with our 1 year old pittie and it made a world of difference for her house manners and jumping. She is such a sweet dog but she could make entering our home overwhelming. Our friends and family who have come over are all very impressed. We are so pleased with the results of the book camp for our puppy Finn. He was very stubborn and we were struggling with training for him. Our big concern was getting him to do simple commands and walks. He would pull so hard on walks and be very excited and distracted with other dogs, bicycles. And always wanted to chase cars. He spent 12 days at book camp and came back a different dog. It has given us such a great base to continue with his training on our own.We have had a great experience starting with the phone staff to the trainers. Treven and Alex were professional and great to work with. I highly recommend this company and so happy with the results.

I can't say enough good things about Tip Top K9! Both Trevon and Thaedon are amazing to work with, have a great sense of humor, and truly love what they do! When I initially called, Trevon came over and showed me what the training was all about. He was very professional and patient answering all my questions. It took me several months to decide to do the training and I asked if he wouldn't mind coming back a second time so he could explain it to me again and also my husband. Our trainer, Thaedon, is so good at what he does and our pups are so much easier to deal with now even though it's only been a few weeks. We have a Cavapoo and a Malshipoo that love to bark at everything! It's great learning a new technique that doesn't involve yelling and treat bribery! We can't wait to start group training, which is free for the life of our pets. If you're on the fence trying to decide if this is right for you, I highly recommend it. This is the third type of training we have done, and the most successful with immediate results. I'm sure positive training and balanced training work for some dogs, but they didn't work for ours.
