Reinforce Training With Tip Top K9 Group Classes
Master Obedience and Social Skills After Training
Advanced Obedience in Group Settings
Our group classes at Tip Top K9 are designed to reinforce obedience and teach your dog to perform commands amidst distractions.
These classes are ideal for dogs that have already undergone basic training through our boot camp or private lessons.
What Does A Group class look like?
1. Teaching Phase
In the first phase, we focus on teaching your dog what each command means and what is expected of them. This foundational understanding is critical for their success in the subsequent phases.
2. Practice Phase
Next, we ensure your dog has ample practice to become proficient in the commands. Hundreds to thousands of repetitions help cement their understanding and ability to respond correctly.
3. Proofing Phase
Finally, we test your dog’s skills by introducing distractions. We teach them to execute commands reliably, regardless of distractions like other dogs, children, and tempting items like food or toys.
When To Start Group Classes
Why Not Start with Group Classes?
Starting with group classes can be overwhelming for dogs that haven’t received prior training. Most dogs benefit from initial one-on-one training, such as our boot camp or private lessons, before transitioning to group settings. This ensures they have a solid foundation and can handle the distractions of group class.
