I honestly don’t even know what to say in this review. This is gonna sound corny and cliche, but this training and process has genuinely been life changing. Our “older” dog, Freya, would only come when she felt like it. She would be on top of you while you were eating and dive at every little crumb that fell. Would pull on walks, zig zag in front of us, stop every 3 feet to sniff something. Kind of a nightmare but we also considered her to be the good dog haha. We did 3 private sessions with Austen and literally all of those things are fixed. 98% of the time she responds instantly to the collar when she’s called. The other 2 percent takes turning it up a little when there are distractions, then she comes. It’s night and day. We can walk her right by our side, place her in a spot and eat in peace. Like I said, it’s life changing. Our puppy, Fish, had all those issues but worse and more. We opted to send him to the two week boot camp and the difference is insane. He came home a couple days ago and he is still our sweet baby wiggly angel boy but now, he listens to us too. I have been very upset this whole time that we didn’t do this sooner. I’m sure there were other people training Fish at the boot camp, but Austen was the one we talked to and the one who helped with Freya so he gets all the credit. I really can’t say thank you or recommend this place enough. 40 billion stars.

I’ve typed up 3 different reviews but no matter what I said, they would end up forever long. Theres just so many words that describe our experience with Tip Top, none of them sounded good enough. I wanted to be detailed enough to ease other people’s minds who are hesitant about signing up. So I’m just going to go with this:BEFORE TIP TOP (4 yr basenji mix; Freya and 10-month basenji/golden retriever; Fish)-Dogs would very rarely come when called-Pull on leashes, zig zag everywhere, eat and sniff every single thing-Fish always had something he wasn’t supposed to in his mouth and would not drop it, would sometimes ever growl aggressively and lunge/snap at us if we tried taking it-Would be in your face, begging like wild savages if there was food-would never sit and stay or waitAFTER TIP TOP-Recall is basically spot on every time (sometimes it might take a little more work when distraction level is high, but still a giant improvement)-Walk right by our side when leash, no more pulling or tangling up our feet-If fish puts something in his mouth, a simple “Off” command and he drops it and leaves it alone-We can now “place” them while we eat and they stay there the whole time until we “break” them-They sit and stay when we need them toIt is seriously a night and day difference. Fish did a 2-week bootcamp because he’s a stubborn puppy and needed a little more work with his weird snappy attitude and we did 3 private lessons with Freya. After her first lesson, there was already a huge improvement. All the reviews saying how awesome their experience was and how well behaved their dogs are, really are true. I was skeptical that anything would get better in such a short amount of time, but it worked and we are beyond impressed and grateful. Our trainer Austen is a badass and our dogs absolutely loved him. Everyone was super helpful and answered all of our questions. I love how this review still ended up forever long too haha. I just have too many good words to keep it short and sweet! So, anyone unsure of making such a big investment, just do it. You will be so happy you did.

Austin was our trainer. He did an amazing job of showing us how to train our dogs. We feel confident that we can control them in any situation. He was very patient, helpful and knowledgeable. He built a great relationship with our dogs and they were happy to see him when he came to train them.

My dog is like a whole new pup! Scout was so anxious and barks nonstop we could never have people over. Brown K9 Training have worked with us to help him feel safe and not reactive when the doorbell rings and we have friends over. They worked with us in our home to make sure he was comfortable. Can’t recommend them enough. They also boarded he for us which was a huge relief knowing he would have a more personal touch

Austen was incredible. He took our dog who was snapping and growling at anyone approaching us on a walk and trying to attack any relatives coming in our house and turned her into an obedient sweetheart who would sleep at the feet of such people and roll over for tummy rubs.He changed us from being at wits end to being proud parents of a loving dog. We could not be more pleased with his work…worth every cent of the investment. Highest commendations and recommendations.

A week with these guys and our boy Swanson learned sooooo much! Josh was great explaining all of the programs, and Austin did an amazing job training Swanson (and Swanson fell in love with him). We just got Swanson back today are already beyond thrilled with the results. Thanks Tip Top!

I have an almost four year old Frenchie I rescued and quickly realized I needed help! Josh has been amazing training her! After each lesson I was shocked at the progress Millie made. He was very gentle and reassuring with her. I felt confident knowing how to work with her on my own after her trainings as well. 100% recommend Josh. He knows what he is doing and made such a difference!

Our dog Wally was slightly dog aggressive when on a leash. He had some previous PTSD from getting attacked before. We wanted to help him move passed this. We reached out to these guys for training. Liked them when we first met them. So decided to give it a shot.Let’s just say Austin is great! He worked with Wally for his trainings, we worked with him for the final 4 trainings! He was great with Wally, and helped him so much. Wally is a changed dog now. He not only isn’t dog aggressive anymore, but he also learned many other great trainings from them! I highly recommend these guys! Will be going to the group classes they offer next to keep Wally working! He really liked Austin too! Have not a single bad thing to say about them or the company. Was a great experience for us all the way around!

I could not be happier with Tip Top K-9! Our household has not been the same since the training with our dogs. The training was excellent, professional, dependable and completely results oriented. I could not be more pleased with the outstanding results and services I have received, it definitely exceeded my expectations and helped give both my 1-year old Labradors a better life and help to regain my peace of mind. I didn’t even think it was possible but in one month, Austin, (my excellent trainer) helped guide me to create boundaries and establish expectations my dogs positively respond to, no longer chasing cars, jumping fences, barking at everything, counter surfing or jumping on people. This is the third pup we have turned to Tip Top K9 for training. We got to work with Austin this time around and he was terrific. Tip Top K9 is my go to referral for all things pup training - 100% worth it!!!

I heard that sending away a dog to be trained is not super effective, because they forget everything, and revert back to their old ways after they get home. When I found Tip Top K9, they had good reviews, and I opted to take my dog for the intro visit. I met with the trainer for over an hour and we talked about all of my concerns. I didn't feel a crazy amount of pressure to sign up right away. After discussing it with my wife, we signed up a couple weeks later. I felt confident enough to send him away for 2 weeks.The key to Tip Tops whole program is to train the dog using an E-Collar and a remote. It is not a shock, but more of a stimulation. Its neither a positive nor a negative for the dog, but a reminder of the expectations, and an attention seeking element. Over time, the use of the collar and remote will not be needed. I have used a bark collar on my dog before I sent him to be trained, and he hated it. He would ignore it when it beeped, and when he did respond to the vibration, he hated it and would run off. The e-collar yields no such response. He remains his happy self, and obedient.While he was gone, we missed him. It was so nice for them to send little video clips of his training, and to see him happy and playing. I am so glad they sent those.When it was time to bring him home, the trainer (Josh) came to our house and spent almost 2 hours getting us up to speed on how to keep training our dog. He showed us how to properly use the e Collar and remote. We practiced Heel, Place, Off, Quiet and more. Our dog Chase was still his happy self, and he was so excited to see us. AND he was a totally changed dog for the better.The other key element to the training is the plan for continued success. After we were trained on how to properly use the e collar and the remote, we were given homework assignments to follow to keep his progress going. In addition to that, they offer free group classes for the rest of our dogs life. This will help in many ways. I really look forward to that.In the end, I wish we would have done this sooner. Yes is was an expensive investment, but to have an amazing dog for the rest of his life, and not having to fight the barking, or staying, or leash pulling, or just plain disobedience is worth it. I really don't think I could have done it on my own to this level. But I know that I can easily take it from here and continue his training progress. Well worth it. Thanks again Tip Top. 6 years ago I left this review “Totally changed my dog! I highly recommend!!! Super nice people to work with! And totally willing to work with you!!”6 years later as I reflect on this company and what they did for my family… I seriously cannot thank them enough for all their hard work! I have put two of my dogs through their training and would again should my next dog need training. My dogs get so many compliments on how well behaved they are even off leash. People have commented on how they usually don’t like to see off leash dogs but are overly impressed with how our dogs act like they are on leashes when in public. I cannot recommend Tip Top K-9 enough!

I dropped off my 10 month old Aussie doodle who struggled with leash pulling, barking at anyone or any dog within sight, and charging after everything. He got picked up and three weeks later was returned as a BRAND NEW DOG! I am speechless from all the progress he made during this time! I also appreciated the weekly report cards and videos of not only skills he has learned but also videos of him playing with the other dogs there! I cannot thank them enough! I will forever be thankful for this experience!!!

We sent two of our dogs that were in desperate need of training. One had resource guarding issues, and the other had obedience problems. They spent a month with Tip Top K9. They returned home today and are behaving perfectly. They have them trained so well that they are behaving in ways I never thought was possible. I highly recommend their services!

Josh and his team are fabulous. I can't believe how well trained my German shorthair is. She was hard to handle and now she is a dream!

Let me tell you… these guys are AMAZING! We have a 10 month old Samoyed male who just loves to play play play and doesn’t have an off switch. Even outside when constantly pulling, doing his own thing, and trying to play with all the kids outside. He is loved by all which is amazing but hard to control when everyone always wants to come up to him… ESPECIALLY KIDS! He does so good with kids but just wants to sprint with them and run around them and jump and that was an issue we had everyday when we would take him on walks. We sent him off to doggy boot camp and it was a completely different dog! He can now place! Which we use a lot outside and inside and he has an off switch! His recalls are on point and with him being still a puppy he has some slip ups but over time he will overcome those! He can now walk without a leash and sticks right next to us! My favorite part is that we can take him to a park and get him to run around and do whatever he wants to do and not have to worry about him listening to us! He’s such a different dog and we can finally let him roam free of his kennel without any worries inside and outside! 100% recommend and they have earned a lifetime customer!

Tip top k9 did an amazing job training my Belgian malinois diesel. He did one of the board and train programs. He was only a year old and is such a pleasure to be around now. He previously did not have much impulse control so the change was very significant and I’m very excited to continue his training.

We loved working with Tip Top K9! Marcela was an incredible trainer and helped us so much with our very large bernedoodle. We are not first time dog owners, but this is the first time we were unable to adequately train a dog. With Marcela's help we are now able to walk our dog with ease. He has also learned other commands that are not only helpful but impressive! We are taking our dog to his first group class this week and are looking forward to working with the trainers and other dogs! I would definitely recommend Tip Top K9!

We had an awesome experience with Casey. She made our scared puppy feel comfortable right away. She has given us the tools we need to help build all of our confidence and be able to take sweet Oakley with us more places! Would recommend!!

We had a great experience with Chad at Tip Top K9! Our pup was starting to show a bit of aggression and overall was not listening too well. Chad was able to help our pup and us through multiple in-house training sessions. Chad was so patient with our many questions and our trainings never felt rushed. We are grateful to have a well trained and behaved pup!

We had such a good experience with the training. Our dog did a complete 180 she is such a good dog now. Not pulling on a leash. Not having to meet every dog or person we pass, or having a bark fest if we don't. I would recommend them for every person that has a dog

This place is the best dog training in all of the USA! Our crazy and loving dog Churro was needing to be trained. And only 1 month later with Top Dog K9 he is a different dog. The people here are super loving and caring towards the animals. They taught us all the commands and info to help our dog stay trained once we picked him up from training. If you need a sign to train your dog this is the place! We are taking our other dog blue here next week and he’s going to get trained as well. 10 out of 10 5 Stars Best place in Utah. I am so impressed with Marcella. My one pup Teddy, has been to several different trainers for his barking & reactive behavior with no luck and she taught me many different methods that are working. My other pup Sandy is a rescue and had been through a lot and picked up bad behavior from Teddy, but she has gotten so much better. I am starting to enjoy walks again. We had such a great experience with Tip Top K9! We couldn't have asked for a better outcome with our 2 year old Vizsla. We were struggling with aggression towards other dogs, pulling when walking, jumping, and some other behavioral issues. When he came home after his 2 week board & train we couldn't believe the difference! I no longer have to worry about him around other dogs and our walks are much more peaceful. My boyfriend and I have struggled with training our reactive bernedoodles and have tried different methods but couldn’t keep their full attention. Walks were stressful for us as our dogs would bark and cause a ruckus when other dogs were near. After our sessions with Marcella, we noticed significant improvement! Very happy with the private lessons for both of our pups. Scheduling lessons was easy and flexible enough to work with my calendar. The trainer was knowledgeable, respectful, answered all of our questions and our dogs love her!We had a leash reactive puppy that struggled on walks. After the private lessons (and important homework) she walks mostly loose leashed now.Looking forward to group classes this coming spring.
