We had an excellent experience with Tony at Tip Top K9. From the beginning, Tony was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and professional. He took the time to clearly walk me through our objectives for Cooper’s training, answered every question I had, and made sure I thoroughly understood each concept and technique. He didn’t just explain what to do, he modeled everything and made sure I felt comfortable continuing the work with Cooper at home.One of our biggest concerns was Cooper’s reactivity toward other dogs. When Tony brought Cooper back to our apartment complex, I was able to see firsthand the progress he had made. Cooper encountered other dogs and remained calm and under control without the reactivity we had been dealing with. Tony also demonstrated how Cooper could walk appropriately near other dogs, which was one of the main things we wanted to accomplish through training.Tony demonstrated patience and explained the “why” behind what we were doing. They have great personalities, excellent training options, and helped us find a program that fit both our budget and our pack of dogs.Thaddeus got us set up with the right training plan, and Macy came to our house to work with us and the dogs. It quickly became obvious that any delays in training were 100% due to the humans, not the dogs. The dogs learned everything we consistently taught them. Apparently, we were the ones who needed obedience training.You truly get out of the program what you put into it. At no point did they judge us—they simply encouraged, coached, and supported us every step of the way. We are moving from a fenced in backyard with in a subdivision to a half acre with no fencing and neighbors with dogs. I needed to trust that Roxy would recall easily, place on command, ignore other dogs and animals, and focus on my commands immediately. She does all of that beautifully now.When I first sent Roxy to the boot camp, they were very aware of her anxiety and worked with her as best they could. She lasted a little over a week. They brought her home once it was evident she wasn’t getting past the anxiety of a new place without her people around. She was learning and following the commands but her body did not adjust very well. After we shifted her lessons to home, she improved so much!I LOVED having Josh help train Roxy. He was patient and helpful with all of my questions. He taught new commands smoothly and I understood how to translate them with Roxy, right away.Josh traveled with any equipment needed and other dogs to help in the sessions. Trevon and Josh were wonderful to work with. So thankful for kind, informative, and patient trainers. Roxy is much better behaved and listens so well!For a 9 year old lady who is stubborn about what she wants to do and when, that’s saying a lot.

We found them at the farmers market and introduced Luna our dog to Macy and signed up for private classes. Prior to our training Luna had no training at all and did not listen to anything. Tip Top K9 is phenomenal. We had such a great experience throughout the whole process.I was looking for a trainer for our 1.5 year old black lab to help with some unwanted behaviors and help calm his brain. When we found Tip Top K9, they were great with scheduling and saw an immediate improvement just from the consultation appointment we had and decided right then that this would be good for our lab. Pickup was smooth & while he was away we got weekly updates showing the progress that he was making. They would explain how he was doing honestly, and we appreciated the thoughtful and honest updates. When he was ready to come home, it was so easy to schedule our coming home visit. When he came home, he was greeted into chaos with kids and he did amazing. For the first time ever I was able to have him sit and stay sitting while chaos was erupting, I got to pet him on his head, kiss his forehead, and rolled over for belly rubs. I was never able to do any of that before training. He still has his amazing personality but calmer and more controlled, allowing us to enjoy a calm family dog. Ben with Tip Top K9 is amazing (out of ATX area) and we adored him from the start. He put so much intentional thought into our boy and our relationship with him. I’m so grateful to have found Tip Top K9, and I would recommend them to anyone who is able to put their dog in training. The price is worth it!

Mochi and I worked with Macy on come, off, and place. We were apprehensive about e collar training but after a lot of research and a lot of trust in our trainer, we made the decision to try it. The improvements to mochi’s behavior with 2 private lessons and 1 week of training at home has been huge. I can finally walk him down the street without fearfulness or anxiety because of his dog reactivity. Mochi is able to relax more in public because he is trusting me to lead. Training has brought my pup and I so much closer and we are able to enjoy quality time outside together again. We can’t wait for all the future adventures we will eventually go on. Just finished my last private class with Joshua and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I had a husky with two bites on his record and on the verge of being gotten rid off. After 5 classes with Joshua, I now have a dog I can walk in the park and be in social situations without worry. I sent my reactive dog odin to their bootcamp and from the initial consultation with thaedan, to his training with Brett, and now our first group class last night I couldn't be happier. I never imaged a day where Odin would be able to walk in a heel. We also now have the correct tools in our belt to work on his reactivity and hes making better choices everyday. Im so happy and thankful I am able to give odin a more fulfilling life now that are walks arent constant pulling and reactions. Thank you to everyone that worked with him, especially Brett!

Best investment ever!We’d been discussing dog training for a while but the realisation that we needed help, urgently, came when one day during a walk our pack of 3 ( now 4) turned into a barking, thrashing, lunging group of creatures we hardly recognised - sheer chaos and so disheartening that we couldn’t enjoy family walks around the neighborhood. Immediately, I began evaluating local professional training options and found that Tip Top K9 was far and away the most positively reviewed service so I scheduled our complimentary evaluation. In just a few minutes Trevin showed us that with the right tools, technique and lots of practice we could be proud to take our pups out in public. We made the decision to begin training our 2 Goldens first (the girls) and based on those results, we would decide whether or not to have Tip Top K9 train our Yorkie and Pom mix (the boys).Thaeden was amazing! He worked with each of the girls individually and involved us after the first few lessons. I was amazed with how fast they each caught on and remembered each command. We worked them diligently and couldn’t believe how effortless it was to reinforce Thaeden’s instructions. They made us so proud. Needless to say, we went ahead with training for the boys. We now enjoy walks with all 4 dogs at once with zero drama. We’ve even gotten a few “wow, what good dogs” and other kind remarks from folks we encounter. We recently proofed the training while camping - no excessive barking, totally calm walks, and a generally pleasant experience.In summary, if you’re considering Tip Top K9 for your training needs I say go for it - hands down, the best investment we’ve made for enjoyment and peace of mind for our family.
Had a great experience with our 1 on 1 trainer Josh. He was very patient and was great with teaching not just 1 but both of our pups! He helped us to feel more confident with them being together and to feel like we have control when walking and taking care of our dogs. Bubbles learned very quickly and we feel very confident about being able to continue this training on our own after all his guidance. He was very easy to work with and very nice and Bubbles absolutely loved him too!
