Had a great experience with our 1 on 1 trainer Josh. He was very patient and was great with teaching not just 1 but both of our pups! He helped us to feel more confident with them being together and to feel like we have control when walking and taking care of our dogs. Bubbles learned very quickly and we feel very confident about being able to continue this training on our own after all his guidance. He was very easy to work with and very nice and Bubbles absolutely loved him too!

We used Tip Top a few years ago when our big boy was just a puppy. He did so well and we were so happy! Flash forward a few years and now we are expecting our first baby. Our boy was showing some aggressive signs and some reaction to other dogs. We had the pleasure of working with Josh and he was phenomenal! He helped us reinforce some basic commands and we have seen such a big change in our boy since starting! Josh has been patient and kind and gave us all the building blocks we need for his reactivity and setting some stricter boundaries at home. We would hands down recommend Josh and Tip top to anyone needing training!

We took Walter to TipTopK9 for puppy obedience and the whole thing started the right way. They came to our house for an initial visit, met Walter, walked us through the full process and costs, and left without an ounce of sales pressure. We signed up on our own terms.The timing worked out perfectly because we had a big vacation coming up and needed boarding anyway. Trusting them with him for two weeks so soon after meeting them says a lot about the impression they made. While he was there we got regular updates; not just training progress but how he was doing emotionally in a new place with other dogs around. That meant a lot.When we got him back he was the same little puppy, same personality, just with noticeably leveled up attention and listening skills. The obedience work gave us real, repeatable commands that held up at home and not just in a controlled class setting. And as anyone who has trained a dog knows, half the work is training the humans in the loop. We learned alongside Walter and we're all better for it.A year or so later he still carries that foundational training. That kind of lasting result is what makes this worth every penny. Just a great experience from first visit to long after the fact.

We have a mini Aussie puppy who is just full of energy. When beginning to train her I realized I was going to need assistance and turned to Tip Top K9. Our trainer, Josh, was excellent. He worked with the personality of our Aussie, letting her be a wiggle butt when she needed to let loose, but also firm when she wasn't obeying. Josh helped me better understand how to train her. After we finished with the 1:1 lessons, I began going to the group classes. That training was exactly what I needed. Our dog was very obedient when we were at home working with her, but it was a new challenge when in a group situation with lots of distractions.I would highly recommend Tip Top K9 to anyone. Don't underestimate the value of follow on classes, I believe it will make all the difference for our dog.

Sent our 9 month old puppy to the House Manners boot camp (1 week). We can already see the difference after just the boot camp. She is responsive to our commands and can actually go through the doggy door in the back door. We also love the lifetime group class offer that is included in the package. We will definitely be coming to those classes to keep our skills sharp.

I really enjoyed working with Josh! I adopted Snoopy as a puppy and he started to develop a lot of reactive and anxious behaviors. As a first time dog owner, I was really looking for someone to teach me how to train my dog and help me understand how to fix some of Snoopy’s reactiveness. Every lesson with Josh was insightful and productive, and he was extremely calm and patient with Snoopy which was the most important thing for me.With any training patience and consistency is key, although Snoopy is not yet perfect, the trainings with Josh helped me understand how I can be the best owner and trainer to Snoopy.Training is still a WIP but I’m happy that I took the first step to success with Josh and Tip Top K9!

I highly recommend Tip Top K9! We struggled very mich with our 2.5 year old Husky mix and felt like there was no room to imrpove her behaviors. After a few weeks with Tip Top K9, she is a completely different dog! My husband and I were truly blown away. It is 100% worth the investment.

We ended up going with Tip Top K9 for our dog Thatcher. He’s always been kinda anxious around people, and we were worried it might turn into aggression.We did the in-home lessons with Josh and it was honestly such a good experience. Had a wonderful experience! Macy was our trainer and our dog, Teddy Bear, absolutely loved her and we did also! She did a marvelous job with Teddy and with us! She responded thoughtfully and quickly to our question and any requests we had. Her suggestions to us and attention to detail could not have been better! I can’t imagine how things could have gone any more smoothly.

We just finished 5 sessions with Macy in our home and couldn't be happier. Our active 6 year old poodle's behavior has improved so much and now we have the information and tools we need to keep improving. The change in him was really remarkable, now we actually enjoy taking him to events like the Melrose Street Fair. What a difference!!! This is a fairly expensive program but well worth it, you won't be disappointed.

3 week update, Lulu met my parents this week and ended up snuggled with my mom on the couch. She also walked through crowds at a national park and did not react at all!We adopted Lulu from the humane society and we realized her demeanour toward people was more fear based than neutral. We worked for about a year to make her more comfortable and tried other training methods that did not work for her.Josh came out and while the meeting was tumultuous (as expected) he was calm, collected and recognized that while our dog was absolutely terrified and acting out that she is not a bad girl. He kept telling her how good she was doing and never made us or her feel bad for her reaction.Within 12 hours of Josh coming out I was able to walk Lulu by people, dogs, cats and children. Instead of avoiding triggers I turned her toward them. Instead of Lulu being terrified of getting eaten by people she now knows that she doesn't need to act out.The first visit with our consult I was in tears hearing about how Lulu was so scared she was trying to make herself seem gross so she wouldn't get eaten. Today she walked with Josh in a heel and while she was nervous her tail was not tucked and she even wagged it at him.Lulu went from a terrified girl to a more confident dog. My fiance and I went from being afraid to take her out to excited and ready to walk her into any situation. Thank you Josh, you complimented us and built our confidence up as well as Lulu's. I know it's not your job to therapize humans but you did a damn good job doing it!

We had the pleasure of working with Josh. He has helped us with ongoing training for our golden retriever, Chewie Lewis. Our puppy dog is very smart and also very stubborn. Josh was so helpful in addressing our concerns and in refreshing the commands that Chewie needed extra help with. We would recommend Josh to anyone looking to teach their dog good manners. 😊

Josh was fabulous - and such a rockstar with Winnie during private training!! She has made so much progress over the course of 5 lessons, we couldn’t be happier. We practiced our “place” in Sedona to celebrate graduating private lessons. Now excited to keep making progress with group class 💪

We adopted Marshall from a rescue and realized very quickly that he was very fearful especially on walks. We did our research and decided to give Tip Top a try. Our first in home meeting went well and they provided a variety of options. We chose the in home training (since we only had him 3 weeks). Josh came out to be our trainer and from day one his calm demeanor and patience gave us hope! He explained things thoroughly and helped Marshall walk all through the neighborhood as well as taking him to Home Depot within the first two lessons! We really loved working with Josh through our 1/1 training sessions. We then went to our first group training and really liked Macy. It was our first group training and we definitely needed some guideance and help when we first arrived and she stepped up immediately. By the end of group that night Marshall was calm and walking by and with other dogs. We will continue going to group training as it has big advantages for the socializing aspect. Tip Top has been great in giving us the tools needed but the biggest piece of advise is that we, as owners, need to Apply the training, patience and work every day in order to truly see the results.

Tip Top K9 was definitely worth it. We adopted a German Shepard/Belgian Malinois from the humane society with a lot of energy. Macy was a big help in setting us up for success!

Tip Top K9 was great! The whole process was very smooth and beneficial. Our almost 2 year old pup needed a few things worked on and after 5 sessions he’s improved so much! The structure and resources are awesome and our trainer Macy has been amazing! We definitely plan on attending the group sessions in the future too!

We finished our 11th week of training at our home and our 2 year old German Shepherd has come along way in her behavior and following instructions. Josh was our trainer and he was patient and friendly to us as we were being trained to instruct and lead the dog and use consistant commands. This company beat all my expectations! In just 5 short classes my crazy german shepherd was able to walk through home depot and can go to places with us without it being a hassle!
