I have had my rescue dog for 5 years and she’s 9 now. While she’s always been the queen of the house because of her PTSD background and wanting her to feel comfortable, it has come to a point where we just need to communicate better together. She didn’t know any commands or tricks or anything.I reached out to Tip Top because of the reviews, the site information, the flexibility in my schedule, and being able to work one on one with a trainer (at my own home).Cameron came out and did an assessment of Susie (my Chihuahua) and demonstrated the e-collar (that I’ll admit I was pretty turned off by prior to the meet). He first had me try it on my hand and made me aware this is not a shock collar but rather a TENS unit to just cause stimuli to trigger and at worse cause an irritation to make my dog realize if she stops, the irritation stops. I felt comfortable with this and then we tried it on Susie. Susie didn’t have any problems and nearly from the jump he was able to work with her, albeit she’s a calm dog to begin with, but the fact he could just work with her and get her to do things was astonishing since I struggle so hard.He set me up to begin. We (me and Susie, not Tip Top) had scheduling conflict after scheduling conflict but Tip Top was super flexible with me and not having me pay my balance until we actually were ready to start. They even allow PayPal to be used so the super expensive (to me) lessons were able to be paid with PayPal Credit and I could break it up over 6 months interest free (something they didn’t mention or advertise).Josh came out and did the first lesson. And just like Cameron he was able to communicate with Susie almost immediately. The whole purpose of this was for me to be able to communicate with her, another reassuring moment. We did our 5 lessons and overall she did great. We had rough patches here and there but honestly I don’t think it was Susie who was the struggle but me not communicating effectively with her like Josh was. He very patiently and calmly worked with me so I was set up for success to practice at home during the week. To be honest, I think the lessons were more for me than Susie to teach me and guide me to communicate to her rather than teach her how to do things.Now that we’ve reached the end, Tip Top now gives me lifetime of the dog weekly group lessons for free on Thursdays and Saturdays should I want to go. These are to continue to reinforce what Susie has already learned if she’s struggling (or rather I’m struggling) or even learn new tricks (because who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks).I’ll be forever grateful for Josh and Cameron for opening my eyes to this kind of training for me to be able to communicate to Susie. We definitely have a stronger bond than we did before.

We can’t thank you enough for the amazing guidance and training we have received.We had in-home training for a 13 month old and a 6 month old puppy. We’ve always had bad behaved fur babies as we had no idea how to effectively train our fur babies.as a result of this training, our male’s reactivity to strangers walking by our house had been eliminated. I am so grateful for Tip Top K9!! From the consult appointment with Treven and through every single lesson my dog, Binx, and I had with Thaeden, we were greeted with kindness, patience, and enthusiastic expertise. I chose the 17-session private lesson package, and it was WELL worth the investment. It was SO valuable to have Thaeden give Binx the foundation, and then teach me at the point that Binx was already confident. What I so appreciate about their method is that it is really teaching my dog and me how to communicate. They use a collar similar to a TENS unit (NOT a “shock collar”). I was nervous about that to start, and they compassionately explained it to me and even helped me test it out to see what it feels like. Most importantly, they employ that communication tool correctly. It is used simultaneously with a command, showing my dog what *to* do, as opposed to a signal after the fact that he has done something wrong. AND they are so mindful of using this communication tool according to how the particular dog needs it in a particular moment. Then they taught me all that and helped me build my confidence. Oh, and all the employees I interacted with are so nice and responsive! I have such a stronger more confident bond, and I can go hiking with him, entertain at my house, and hang out with him on any patio restaurant or open-air festival! Looking forward to group classes! We had an amazing experience with TipTop! Trevon eased all of our concerns during the first consultation and spent time guiding us through the program. Tony came out after to pickup and drop off our pup which included parent training the day she came back. He was excellent! Wonderful experience from start to finish! We met these guys at a Home & Garden show and were impressed with how well behaved their dogs were. They offered to come out to our house for one free private training session. The first visit was 90% explaining the product/methods, and 10% training. They really took the time to make sure we understood things, and we moved forward with the 2 session package. We saw it as an investment and were excited about having our huge dogs be able to behave around family, friends, children, strangers, and other animals - in the home, in public spaces, and on walkies. During the sessions, our trainer really encouraged our dogs to make good decisions, in order to get rewarded with lots of praise/lovins, not just obey “or else”. He was also super thorough with his explanations, and helped us learn all the ins and outs of reasoning, timing, and best methods for training. Neither our dogs nor us were scolded/spoken to sharply once during the entire learning process. I truly feel like these employees love, respect, and enjoy training these pups. Even the dispatchers were super communicative and we were always in communication if there was an earlier opening or if he was running a few min late. Overall, amazing experience and I would recommend to anyone looking for help with training their dogs. I’m excited to see what we can do, now that Tip Top K-9 has empowered us with the tools to work together on training with confidence!

I was extremely skeptical that our little girl was even trainable because she was not only dog and people aggressive she was paralyzed as well. I thought her aggression was just something we would have to deal with because of what she had gone through in her earlier life. I WAS WRONG ;) And I couldn't be happier to be WRONG. From the moment Tip Top K9 came to the house, she knew something was up. She's extremely bright and knew she was going to be given a job. (aka chance) . Don't get me wrong, she tried to get her way with the trainer on day one, but he was so patient with her and continued to work with her while showing her respect. By doing this, she quickly realized he was there to help her, not hurt her. She learned how to focus on what we wanted her to do and it not only took the stress away from her, but it took it away from us as well. Never in a million years would i have believed this would have worked. We tried other trainers and they just didn't have a full interest in her. Maybe because she was paralyzed or too aggressive. Tip Top was honest with us and told us they would never be able to take the aggression out of her BUT they could teach her how to refocus her aggression to do what we needed her to do. It's amazing how differently dogs think. But Tip Top has it figured out. We ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR TRAINER. Always on time and gave her the full hour of training every time. After Bolita graduated, we were able to have friends and family over and she knew exactly what to do AND NOT TO DO. She was relaxed on her "place" and allowed everyone to mingle and talk. She didn't make a peep. (Of course she had her muzzle on for caution) Prior to Tip Top, this would have never been possible. We would definitely recommend Tip Top K9 Gilbert Dog Training.
